What Osama bin Laden did was horrific and should not be diminished. That the United States military triumphed against him is an historic victory.
The thing that has been on my mind today, though, is that we are all sinners. We are capable of, and guilty of, evil. That thing you (I) did, those words you (I) spoke.....those things may very well have caused a "mini 9-11" in someone's life or heart. And in the eyes of God, sin is sin. Any act of sin is an affront to His holiness.
“Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone..." (John 8:7)
Maybe a little celebration is in order today. But it is also a day to pray for peace, both in the global world and in the smaller world in which you dwell.
